What is Yoga?
The word yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the language of ancient India where yoga originated. We can think of the union occurring between the mind, body and spirit.
What is commonly referred to as "yoga" can be more accurately described by the Sanskrit word asana, which refers to the practice of physical postures or poses.

What you need to know:
  • Please arrive 5 minutes before class begin.
  • Wear clothing that is loose fitting.
  • Come to class fully hydrated.
  • Modify your meals prior to class.
  • You may bring your own yoga mat or if you do not have one, the studio has mats available.
  • Stay in the studio during class.
  • Please let me know if you need to leave class early.
 
What to expect after your first class...
 
  • You may feel tired after the class. But don't worry, it's absolutely normal!
  • You may feel more energetic!
  • You may feel sore or stiff the day after your first class.
  • You may feel nauseous, dizzy or have a headache after class. This could be a sign that you are dehydrated. Please drink lots of water before returning to class.
